COOLANTS
As with other diamond products, it is recommended that a coolant be used with most diamond wheel applications. This will give your wheel a longer life. Water alone will not be any more advantageous than dry grinding. We recommend using a water-soluble oil. There are a variety of coolant usage methods including flood, mist and drip. In all usage of coolant, it should be filtered. The recirculated swarf could generate excessive heat, shorten the life of the wheel and result in unacceptable surface finishes.

EQUIPMENT
Of equal importance to the wheel itself is the proper use and maintenance of equipment. Spindles, bearings and arbors should be kept in perfect working order and repaired or replaced when required.
